Our workshops bring real-life experiences of faith, belief, and identity into the classroom via a panel of trained speakers.
Our Encountering Faith & Belief workshops model interfaith dialogue and co-operation in action, whilst avoiding essentialisation through contextualising personal identity, faith and culture. With the assistance and skills of an expert facilitator, two or three speakers from different faith and belief backgrounds share their personal stories and answer the students’ questions in an engaging and informative way. Our activities are designed to help young people build religious literacy, empathy, and skills for dialogue and communication. Our workshops also support the RE, PSHE and citizenship curricula, as well as SMSC, British Values and pastoral provision.
LONDON
We currently have funding to offer primary and secondary schools in Ealing, Camden and Brent up to four workshops for Years 6-9, either in person or virtually. These workshops are funded and there is therefore only a small admin fee of £25 in total. For schools outside of these areas there are a limited number of workshops available at a charge.
GREATER MANCHESTER
We are also currently funded to provide workshops to both primary and secondary schools in Greater Manchester and Lancashire for free. These are open to all schools in the area and for any year group, including an unlimited number of sessions.
