Siobhán (re)joins the 3FF Team as a Programmes Coordinator, and will be working on 3FF’s Workplace and Community projects. She will be overseeing the voluntary internship programme, which aims to build the diverse workforce our society needs; she will be recruiting, training and supporting over 20 volunteer interns each year. Siobhán will also be leading 3FF’s new workplace training programme, working with LGBT organisations to support them to become more inclusive of people from different faith and cultural backgrounds.
Siobhán on her new role:
I am utterly delighted to have rejoined the 3FF team. Having participated in the internship programme myself in 2013-14, I feel that I have come full circle in my journey, because I will now be working to recruit, train and support future cohorts of interns.
Since leaving my role in the 3FF Schools team in November last year I have worked for two completely different organisations, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, an animal rescue centre, and EqualiTeach, an equality and diversity training and consulting organisation. In both of these roles I was challenged, inspired and exposed to new ideas and ways of working. I have also had opportunities to pursue freelance training work, and to get more involved in the Sunday Assembly community. It has certainly been a year of trying new things, reflecting, growing and becoming more confident within myself.
After three years of developing and delivering interfaith training and workshops in school settings, I am excited to step up to the challenge of working in community spaces. Following on from the success of 3FF’s Encountering Faiths and Beliefs event for LGBT History Month 2016, and a Faith, Gender and Sexuality workshop at the Interfaith Summit 2017, I am looking forward to seeing what positive change we can create for and with LGBT community organisations.
I am humbled and excited to be here, and very much looking forward to the work ahead! Please get in touch if you work for, volunteer for, or are part of, an LGBT community organisation that you feel would be interested in our new workplace training programme.
