With the election now over, we hope that all politicians will use their mandates to help heal divides and bring the country together.
The government is new. The issues that affect relations between people from different communities are not. It is vital that we continue to work for a more just and cohesive society, in which people of all faiths and beliefs have equal opportunity and voice.
We must reconcile divisions, tackle polarisation and challenge prejudice both in politics and wider society, and ensure that people of all backgrounds feel welcome in our communities.
The Faith & Belief Forum will continue our work of creating a more connected society, and we invite everyone to join us in building a Britain that belongs to people of all beliefs.
