The trustees of the Faith & Belief Forum would like to express their deep gratitude to Phil Champain for his service and commitment to the organisation.
For 10 years, and through challenging periods, Phil has led the organisation with vision, determination and a steady hand. We congratulate him on his well deserved OBE, and wish him all the best in the future.
We are happy to announce that we have appointed an Interim CEO, to guide the organisation through a period of transition, and to prepare for its next exciting chapter. Carrie Alderton has worked at the Faith & Belief Forum for nearly 4 years. In this time she has demonstrated her leadership, creativity, dedication to our work, and strategic vision. We look forward to working together to strengthen the organisation, and ensure we can continue leading on the delivery and innovation of high quality interfaith education and programming for decades to come.
“The trustees are very appreciative of all that Phil accomplished in his period as Director of F&BF. We thank him for his dedication and commitment to the organisation. We wish Carrie much luck, we are very fortunate to have someone of her phenomenal ability to step up to the position.”
Michael Ziff, Acting Chair of the Faith & Belief Forum
“Ever since my days as a student, studying Religious Studies, and in my years of working in the interfaith world and access to education projects, I have dreamed of working at the Faith & Belief Forum. I have always seen this organisation as leading innovators in interfaith methodology and delivery. In the past years of working here, I have witnessed first hand young people building confidence in their own voice and ability to effect change, the joy and curiosity sparked in children in having their first experience of truly encountering someone from a different background, and the creativity and efficacy communities bring when they are supported to co-create solutions to the issues they face locally. I have seen our team change and build, and every week I am struck by their talent, resilience and authenticity. To lead the Faith & Belief Forum into its next chapter, and to work with the team to continually evolve our work to adapt to the needs of our beneficiaries, is truly an honour and a privilege.
My heartfelt thanks goes to Phil, for the support, mentorship and inspiration in our time working together. I wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career, and recognise his considerable work in shaping an organisation with inclusivity and innovation at it’s heart. I look forward to continue building relationships with our valued partners and supporters, without whom our work would not be possible.”
