Call for Resources and Presentations: Faiths, Beliefs and Working Together for a Better Society

What difference does it make when people from different faiths and beliefs work together?
The Faith and Belief Forum is creating a resource to highlight current research and resources about the wider impacts of faith or belief groups working together to improve the social and civic life of the UK.

The resource will focus on these subjects and answer these questions:

  • How do faith and belief groups working with others contribute to a better society in the areas of social cohesion, social action and social inclusion and equality (and related areas)?
  • How can interfaith and intergroup approaches bring faith/belief and other groups together using dialogue, education and advocacy?

Research and resources will be highlighted and linked to on a resource page on our website to go live on the 24th of March. Please fill out this brief form to share research or a resource and to sign up for a presentation here >>

Some of these resources will be shared in short presentations (3-4 minutes) at an event on the 24th of March from 3.00-4.00pm GMT.

Faiths, Beliefs and Working Together for a Better Society – About the Event

We live in a time of growing awareness about the contribution of faith and belief groups and interfaith organisations to facing major challenges in our society, from COVID-19 to cohesion and inequality. Yet there is a lack of evidence for what makes this work effective.

This event will spotlight recent research on how faith and belief groups contribute to social cohesion, social action and equalities, and share resources on how to deepen and improve this engagement.

We will hear from a series of brief presentations from researchers and practitioners. Participants will be invited to share their own experiences and knowledge using interactive tools.
