Head of Operations

Application deadline: 18/01/2021

The UK’s leading interfaith organisation is looking for a Head of Operations to provide strategic leadership and oversee the organisation’s People, Finance and Operations as we work towards our vision of a world where diversity is celebrated.

For over 20 years, the Faith & Belief Forum has delivered ground-breaking and award-winning programmes in schools, universities and community spaces, rooted in a progressive approach to interfaith that includes all religious and non-religious groups, and takes into account the complexity of people’s identities. We see our own organisation as a project in itself, and the role of the Head of Operations is to ensure that the organisation models our values through our internal ways of working and operating.

We are now establishing a new expanded senior leadership team to spearhead the next phase of the organisation’s development. The Head of Operations will implement a strategic approach to People, Finance and Operations, overseeing a talented and high performing team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the organisation’s future as we navigate and grow in a post-pandemic world.

To make this happen, you’ll need experience in organisational leadership, ideally in the charity sector or a values-based organisation. You’ll be a strategic thinker, with a people-focused approach. You’ll will have experience in overseeing a HR Function. You will have a collaborative approach to leadership and people management, supporting your team to achieve our vision and develop personally and professionally.

You’ll be joining an organisation that embodies the inclusive and welcoming values we want to see in wider society. We pride ourselves on our diverse and collaborative working environment, where your passion and commitment will be rewarded through a flexible benefits package and ongoing support. In our most recent staff survey, 100% of staff said they are proud to work here and 100% enjoy working with the people here.

Hours: Part-time 3 days per week.

Starting salary: £23,414 (£39,024FTE) (+London weighting if London based)

How to Apply: If you feel this role is for you, please send a copy of your CV in the first instance to Kate at Charity People to find out more.

Deadline: 9am 18 January 2021. If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an online interview 25 or 26 January.

We believe in order to effectively serve our beneficiaries our work must be influenced by a broad range of voices. Therefore, we actively encourage applications from people who are currently underrepresented in our staff team. This would include BAME candidates and those who identify as Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain. We celebrate difference and are committed to creating a working environment where everyone is included.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from individuals without the right to work in the UK.
