The UK’s leading interfaith organisation is looking for a passionate, motivated, and organised individual to join our Education & Learning Team. This is part of a new and innovative partnership between the Faith and Belief Forum and the READ Foundation in the North-West of England.

The Faith & Belief Forum (F&BF) is an interfaith charity working for a ‘connected and supportive society where people of different faiths, beliefs and cultures have strong, productive and lasting relations.’ The READ Foundation works to support disadvantaged children in ‘a world where every child has access to an education and can learn, grow and lead.

Both organisations are committed to a holistic approach to education which promotes equality of opportunity for young people. This includes access to school and basic needs, and support for young people to feel confident communicating and collaborating with anybody, regardless of their faith, culture or background.

The F&BF’s Education & Learning team works with over 200 schools nationally through our Award-Winning skills-based workshops, School Linking and other creative youth projects. This role is an exciting opportunity to be a trailblazer in innovating and growing our education offer across the Greater Manchester area. Establishing and building on local networks, the Programmes Coordinator will engage key local stakeholders, including schools, with F&BFs highly regarded dialogue and skills-based programming.

This role involves…

  • Working independently to build strong and dynamic relationships with schools and other education bodies across the North-West.
  • Going above and beyond to advocate for the importance of F&BFs work.
  • Designing, developing, and delivering programmes which give young people the skills and confidence they need to collaborate with anybody, regardless of their faith, belief, culture, or background.
  • Connecting and collaborating with the wider F&BF and RFs Teams.
  • Creating innovative and efficient process for measuring the impact of our vital work. 

To do this you will need to…

  • Have excellent communication skills, and be confident interacting with anyone, no matter their background or level of influence
  • Be an effective relationship builder who can confidently build and maintain key partnerships
  • Bring experience of designing and implementing marketing and administrative systems (preferably including Salesforce)
  • Be passionate about working with and empowering young people.
  • Have experience of planning and facilitating workshops with people from different all backgrounds
  • Be willing to work flexibly with some evening and weekend work
