We are very pleased to announce that insurance company Direct Line Group (DLG) has signed the Charter for Faith & Belief Inclusion.
The Charter is an initiative by the Faith & Belief Forum (F&BF) for organisations who believe in the importance of good relations between people of different beliefs, and a society which is welcoming to people of all backgrounds.
DLG have already put their commitment to faith and belief inclusion into practice by partnering with F&BF to support our work in Schools, Communities and our UN award winning ParliaMentors programme. F&BF is also delivering a number of sessions for DLG staff members aimed at increasing faith and belief literacy.
Humphrey Tomlinson, General Counsel, Direct Line Group (Diversity & Inclusion Belief Strand Executive Committee Sponsor), said:
“It’s incredibly important to us at Direct Line Group to have a culture where we value, respect and celebrate difference and inclusion so we’re delighted to have signed The Faith & Belief Forum’s ‘Charter for Faith & Belief Inclusion’ to help us champion a greater understanding, tolerance and mutual respect of different beliefs and faiths, and a culture which is fair to people of all backgrounds – religious and non-religious.”
Siobhán Anderson, Programmes Coordinator, Faith & Belief Forum, said:
“At the Faith & Belief Forum we are proud to be partnering with Direct Line Group to further the cause of faith and belief inclusion. Direct Line Group’s commitment to this issue is a great example of how companies can play an active and positive role in helping to build a society which is more welcoming to people of all beliefs and backgrounds.”
The Charter for Faith & Belief Inclusion was launched in 2018 and currently has over 80 signatories, including the Department for Education, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the Muslim Council of Britain, Humanists UK, and many more.
