Our volunteers are an essential part of our work, providing inspiration for their fellow staff and volunteers as well as for the young people to whom they speak.

Since this role involves regular work in schools, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Prospective volunteers must therefore disclose all spent and unspent convictions, and the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (the cost of which is met by F&BF).
