Thank you for your interest in the Faith & Belief Forum’s interfaith and intercultural work in schools. We are delighted that you are considering volunteering with us. Our volunteers are an essential part of our work, providing inspiration for their fellow staff and volunteers as well as for the young people to whom they speak.
We ask you initially to provide us with some information about yourself. If you are selected, we will then be in touch with an invitation to a short interview (in person or via Skype).
Since this role involves regular work in schools, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Prospective volunteers must therefore disclose all spent and unspent convictions, and the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (the cost of which is met by F&BF).
We provide extensive training and support for all our volunteer speakers, so lack of experience in the above fields is by no means a barrier to volunteering with us.
Please could you tick the times when you might normally be available to speak? (This does not constitute any formal commitment at this stage)
