On Monday 25 August 2025, the capital will come together for the Interfaith Wellbeing Festival. A first for the city and the country, the event will both celebrate London’s diverse communities and also give Londoners of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to learn about and take part in activities focussed on different aspects of wellbeing – all while having a fantastic fun family day out on August Bank Holiday Monday.

The end of summer day will be be a never-before-seen chance to take part in an array of activities that focus on different aspects of personal and communal wellbeing that draw on global traditions including sport for young people and families, meditation led by faith communities, creative activities from London charities, and employability drop-ins led by community groups. There’s bound to be something for everyone!

The Interfaith Wellbeing Festival, isn’t just another fun day out though – it’s come about through a year of hard work to bring Londoners closer together and has been a truly collective effort. Matthew Gold from the Faith and Belief Forum has been coordinating a group of six faith based organisations as a core partnership group to make this a true example of coproduction by the city’s communities, for the city’s communities.

He said: “We believe that wellbeing is a holistic activity – it’s not about one thing or the other, it’s about having a healthy balance of the physical, emotional, social and spiritual. This is a day for families and individuals to reconnect with themselves, with each other, and experience something new.”

Taking place at Paddington Recreation Ground, Maida Vale, Westminster the festival will feature:

Live performances with performances from diverse faith and cultural traditions
A reflective zone for meditation, readings and quiet conversation
Workshops and panels on wellbeing through faith, identity, and shared values
A food court and a family-friendly fun zone

Interactive stalls offering everything from employability advice to creative and community activities

Festival partners and organisations who will be delivering activities at the event include include: Maccabi GB, Neasden Temple, Mitzvah Day, NishkamSWAT, The Delicate Mind, The Feast, Sapphire, Made in Hackney, Forest Churches Emergency Night Shelters, Salaam Peace, StandUp, Hopscotch, and others. Performers will be brought together by Faiths In Tune, who will host a dedicated music hub with traditional and modern music from across cultures and faiths.

“This is more than just a festival – it’s a celebration of communities supporting each other’s wellbeing through coming together and delivering a day that’s never been seen before in London’s history” said Matthew Gold, London Communities Coordinator at the Faith & Belief Forum.

Entry is £3, with free tickets available for anyone who needs one — all are welcome. Full ticket information is available at interfaithfestival.org.
