On Sunday 19 June, intercultural choir the Mixed Up Chorus will be joined by people of all faiths and non-religious backgrounds as it takes its message of interfaith unity to the streets of London.

The Sing Walk Talkmusical tour will be visiting different places of worship as it makes its way through northwest London, stopping at St Mary’s Church Primrose Hill, the Liberal Jewish Synagogue and London Central Mosque.

As well as performing songs from around the globe, the walk will feature an interfaith singing workshop led by musical director Jeremy Haneman and reflections and contributions from special guests.

Eli Tamir, who coordinates the choir, said: “The Mixed Up Chorus believes that if we sing next to each other we’ll live well next to each other. Our ‘Sing Walk Talk’ event is a great opportunity to show that we’re better united than divided, and to celebrate London’s amazing diversity. The walk is also raising funds for the choir, enabling the Mixed Up Chorus to reach further in its mission to bring people together through music.”

People are invited to join for any part of the walk. Key times to join are:

  • 11:30am – St Mary’s Church Primrose Hill, Elsworthy Road, NW3 3DJ
  • 1:30pm – Liberal Jewish Synagogue, 28 St John’s Wood Road, NW8 7HA
  • 2:30pm – London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, NW8 7RG

The Mixed Up Chorus was founded in 2013 by 3FF, the Three Faiths Forum, and has been uniting people from different faiths and backgrounds ever since.

Sing Walk Talk with the Mixed Up Chorus is taking place Sunday 19 June, 11:30am-4pm. Go here for more information, or to donate.
