The Faith & Belief Forum is delighted to announce funding from the The National Lottery Community Fund Awards For All for a new two-and-a-half-year initiative: the LGBTQ+ Faith and Wellbeing Project.

Following last years’ successful pilot project and community consultation, this groundbreaking project will create much-needed space for connection, understanding, and change at the intersection of faith, belief, and LGBTQ+ identities.

Responding to the unique and often overlooked challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people of faith, the project will focus on wellbeing, and how we can all play a role in improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people of faith.

Over two and a half years, the project will bring together LGBTQ+ individuals and allies from different faith and belief backgrounds to share stories, learn from each other, and take action together.

The project is split into several strands: LGBTQ+ FaithFULL Collective (recruiting now), Community Training, a toolkit and a final conference.

“This is about more than just visibility,” says project lead Sophie Mitchell, “It’s about giving people the tools, confidence, and community they need to make real change for LGBTQ+ people of faith.”

The project is generously supported by The National Lottery Community Fund Awards For All, and will run until Spring 2027.
