What a year it has been – COVID-19 has affected us all in different ways, and continues to do so, forcing us to change how we work and live. At the Faith & Belief Forum, we have played our part in supporting the positive response of faith and belief communities during the pandemic, whilst adapting our own work to the virtual world. Furthermore, this past year we have been committed to becoming more conscious of the nexus between our work and the anti-black racism highlighted by the Black Lives Matter Movement, and the ways in we can work to tackle this through our projects and events.
In a dramatic and hard year, where lives have been lost, jobs have disappeared and communities have been disrupted, the support and creativity of our staff, trustees, partners and funders has allowed us to not only grow, but thrive despite the difficult and uncertain circumstances. 2020-21 has seen the organisation deepen its connections, engage more dialogues and stride closer to our goal of creating good relations between people of different faiths and beliefs.
The Faith & Belief Forum’s mission is to promote and build meaningful and resilient relationships across lines of difference through education, encounter and social action opportunities. We work to achieve this mission by following three goals:
