We have been busy supporting schools to link across London and Birmingham this past term. January saw the start of the spring term in schools across the UK and we kicked the term off with 2 School Linking CPD training workshops for teachers leading on the School Linking Programme. We had a total of 32 of teachers attend across the two training days. The focus of this training was on Diversity, looking at the key question ‘Who are we?’ Teachers had the opportunity to reflect on their journey so far, to think about their next link day and try out some activities from the toolkit in order to be able to run their second Link Day connecting two classes of children from their respective schools. They also received copies of the updated F&BF School Linking Day 2 Toolkit. We had some wonderful feedback from teachers and are looking forward to hearing about their Link Day two activities this coming term.

Quotes from Teachers:

‘The training model’s the best practice @ the F&BF! Thank you!’

‘Was really informative and reassuring for the following link days. Great to meet other schools with various experiences / activities.’

‘Great opportunities for discussion with link schools. Loved the range of activities as examples to lead on Link Days. Safe environment where everyone was celebrated and felt free to share.’
