Walsall Community Builders Training

The Faith and Belief Forum is excited to invite you to our online Walsall Community Builders Training

We have partnered up with the Jo Cox Foundation to create Walsall Community Builders Training, which will empower and foster community dialogue within Walsall.

This training course will happen over a series of four sessions, which are a free resource for people in Walsall. It will be facilitated by leading experts from Protection Approaches in building kinder, safer more inclusive communities and will be interactive with discussions and group activities.

During these sessions you will explore:

• The barriers to building cohesive communities
• Examples of activities and initiative that really work in building kinder, safer, more inclusive communities
• Principles for working in and with communities in meaningful, inclusive and participatory ways
• Common mistakes made in community building project and how to avoid them
• How to design impactful projects for positive change.

The training course sessions will be held on Zoom: 

Session 1: Monday 5th July, 5.30pm  – 7.30pm

Session 2: Thursday 8th July, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Session 3: Monday 12th July, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Session 4: Thursday 15th July, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

All those who take part will have the opportunity to be supported by the Jo Cox Foundation to set up a ‘More in Common’ group in Walsall, and to be a part of The Faith & Belief Forum’s developing Walsall Voices concept.
