F&BF is deeply concerned about the escalation of violence in Israel and Gaza. No one should suffer the unacceptable and horrendous trauma and loss of life we are witnessing. We are thinking and praying for all those affected in the region, the UK and beyond.
In recent years, the escalation of violence in Israel-Palestine has often been followed by a sharp rise in Antisemitic and Islamophobic hate crime here in the UK.
We work to build resilient relationships across communities and will continue working towards better understanding between people of all faiths. This is our core work and purpose.
We will continue to watch developments in the region closely and to work with partners to create opportunities for discussion, and to support those affected here in the UK.
Importantly, we will continue to challenge Antisemitism and Islamophobia, both of which generate hate and perpetuate violence.
