The School Linking Programme matches students and classes from different cultural or faith backgrounds to explore issues of identity, community and belief.
Through the Linking programme, students have opportunities and experiences that encourage their cultural development. Through the key questions posed, ‘Who Am I?’, ‘Who Are We?’, and ‘How Do We Live Together?’, students will share with one another a range of cultural influences that have shaped their identities. Through journeying and sharing with other students on the programme, they will develop skills of empathy that lead to increased understanding and respect towards those of different faith and cultural backgrounds.
In order for us to start matching link pairs and planning for trainings etc, it is important for us to have everybody signed up for next year’s programme by no later than Friday 8th July. Please email Laura or Amy to find out more or sign up to the programme (laura.roper@faithbeliefforum.org / amy.ark@faithbeliefforum.org )
We were fortunate enough to have some in-person CPDs recently, and this is what one of the teachers who attended said of the programme:
“A brilliant programme that promotes culture, diversity, inclusion and British values. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the sessions that I have attended.”
