Programme Overview

Building Closer Communities is a new project from the Faith & Belief Forum which enables residents in two regions – Birmingham, and Barking & Dagenham in London – to meet, share, and explore issues related to faith, belief, and culture.

The project will ran until March 2021, and was generously funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.

Through this project, the Faith & Belief Forum provided the following funded online opportunities:

  • Encountering Faiths & Beliefs workshops for young people in schools
  • Linked interactive dialogue sessions for faith and community groups
  • Opportunities for young adults to build leadership skills and have their voices heard
  • Faith inclusion trainings for Local Authority staff
